Vivienne Westwood: a fashion designer who cares about the world!

Who can forget the amazing wedding dress from Vivienne Westwood that Carrie Bradshaw was wearing in The Sex in the City movie? No one...

So yesterday she showed the world that she is not just a super star fashion designer; Viviane Westwood is also an incredible person who is really concerned about the world.

Jonathan Ross welcomed Dame Vivienne Westwood to this week's Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on BBC One and I thought it was a very interesting interview where we could see and understand another side of this creative, punk, fashion and revolutionary British designer.

Vivienne was wearing seven metres of duchess satin, boxer shorts and safety pin necklace, and urged us to wear tablecloths, curtains or towels. Very funny…

During her talks she makes an impassioned plea about climate change and says politicians are stopping us from saving the planet: "We can only be saved by public opinion... we're at war with something that's never happened before, we have to make politicians do what we want."

She also said about her fashion philosophy for the recession: "Buy less, choose well, if it's dirty don't bother to wash it, don't keep buying things for the sake of it."

Vivienne really surprised me with her wisdom which goes beyond her fashion knowledge and I guess she will surprise you too….

Enjoy the best moments of the interview below!

LoVe,

Ma
