Naomi Campbell Pleads Guilty to Assault With a Deadly Cell Phone

The Associated Press reports that Campbell, 36, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault for hitting her maid, Ana Scolavino, with a cell phone over a pair of jeans gone missing from her New York City apartment last March. Scolavino was treated for a head injury.

"I threw a cell phone in the apartment. The cell phone hit Ana,” Campbell told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Robert Mandelbaum. "This was an accident because I did not intend to hit her." the British beauty must pay her maid’s $363 medical expenses, do five days of community service and attend a two-day anger management program, all in exchange for her guilty plea.

Meanwhile, Campbell's lawyer, David Breitbart said, "I'm hopeful she can do the community service indoors." Ironically, he doesn't want her exposed to dangerous stalkers. Hmmm. We have a funny feeling the cat-fighting catwalker could easily fend for herself!
