Salman Khan is known to give great support to those close to him... While he successfully launched Sonakshi Sinha, talks have it that Salman is now recommending Asin - his 'Namastey London' co-star, and Zarine Khan - his 'Veer' co-star, for projects.
We are told, "Salman has launched a few careers - be it Katrina Kaif, or Sonakshi Sinha. He somehow feels responsible for Asin and Zarine Khan as well. You see, the films in which these actresses starred opposite Salman didn't rock the box office. And Salman Khan thinks he owes them something. Besides, they are talented, too." So while he has set Katrina and Sonakshi on the right path, his focus now remains on getting Asin and Zarine on the track to success.
If talks are to be believed, Sallu suggested Asin's name for 'Housefull 2', and he has also given Zarine a part in 'Ready'. However, Sajid Khan, director of 'Housefull 2' denies that Asin's name was suggested by Salman.

Salman’s returns to his ex lover Somy Ali, Somy joined Salman for Ready, Salman was protective of Somy, Salman Khan's heart Bleeding for somy
Bollywood most misunderstood bachelor Salman who has a heart bigger than his biceps is finding resonance in the company of his ex flame Somy Ali. The Pakistani model turned actress who had a brief insignificant stint in Bollywood is the only lover of Salman who has managed to maintain the friendship thanks to their common love for charitable causes.
The man with a golden heart Salman who has helped in shaping careers of top B-town actresses of today like Aishwarya and Katrina who openly admitted that they are in relationship with Salman, later ditched him when they became the choice of Bollywood. Katrina is the latest casualty in Salman’s love life and it seems Somy Ali has jumped in as a rescue like a true friend.
Somy joined Salman during the last leg of the shoot of his forthcoming ‘Ready’.
A source from the unit in Bangkok reveals, “She and Salman spent a lot of time together after the day's shoot would get over. They were seen shopping in various places in Bangkok and looked happy and comfortable like two people who have been with each other for many years."
He further adds, “All through her stay Salman was very protective of Somy. She did not come on the sets but he was with her all the time after the shoot. They were quiet discreet, he didn't want to be in the public eye."
Both Salman and Somy stayed at the luxurious Hotel Landmark, while the rest of the crew stayed at Hotel Sukumvit, in Bangkok. Somy Ali, arrived in Bangkok end of February and stayed on till the star's return to Mumbai.
Salman and Somy have split up in the Nineties after a short relationship but they remained friends. Whenever Salman goes to US, he meets Somy.
Somy is probably the only woman in the life of Salman who has managed to remain friends and someone Salman looks up to. Sources close to Salman say that bhai doesn’t like to hear something against Somi.
B-town Perfectionist expressed his desire to see his buddy get married a day before and now we come to know what happened in Bangkok between Salman and Somi Ali.
So is Somi finally the one that Salman needs to share his life along…… Is ‘Salman’ finally ‘ready’ to marriage…
Is the ‘Dabangg’ Khan Salman Khan’s heart bleeding for Somi?

Nargis causes Ranbir-Kat split, Ranbir Katrina split up due to Nargis, Ranbir kapoor and katrina split up, Nagris made Ranbir Katrina to Split up
Last week, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif split-up and the reason for their separation is said to be Ranbir’s ‘Rockstar’ actress Nargis Fakiri. Ranbir is taking too much interest on Nargis which did not go well with Kat. She is also miffed with him that he does not give her enough time.
A source close to the couple throws light on the matter, "It wasn't a surprise for anyone. They had been arguing and fighting for over a month. When the new gal got in the frame, it only got worse. Kat was totally against him spending time with her. There were times when he was with Fakhri and wouldn't pick up Katrina's calls. He said they were meeting to see the film's rushes, but later she realised he was just making excuses to spend time with her."
Ranbir’s ex Deepika Padukone is also another reason for their break up. It is believed that director Ayan Mukherjee is keen to rope Deepika as Ranbir’s heroine for his next project and Katrina does not want her boyfriend to act with his ex-flame again.
After breaking up with Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif has given100% to her relationship and even went public about her relationship with Ranbir.
Well, Kat again proved unlucky in love.

Sanjay Dutt goes bald, Sanjay Dutt in Agneepath, Karan Malhotra's Agneepath, Sanjay Dutt gone Bald, Karan Johar, Amitabh Bachchan
It has been reported that Sanjay Dutt, who plays a baddie in Karan Malhotra's Agneepath (he plays the suave Kancha Cheena enacted by Danny Denzongpa in the original), will go bald for the role. But the reality is a little different.
A visitor to the set in Central Mumbai, where Sanju shot a two-day portion, told BT: "Sanju is bald in the film. He had a shining pate on March 2 and 3." However, those who met the 51-year old actor the very next day at his Pali Hill residence found his mop of hair intact. In other words, the actor hasn't actually gone bald like Aamir Khan did for Ghajini and Salman Khan for Tere Naam. He is cheating the 'bald' look.
Producer Karan Johar has called the international make-up artist Robin Slater to style Hrithik and also supervise Sanju's look. The make-up expert was seen fussing over the actor. There are a lot of things about this Agneepath that are different from the original Amitabh Bachchan-Mukul Anand cult classic of the 90s. There Danny had a nice mop of hair and was based out of Mauritius. Here, Dutt is bald and his headquarters are in the union territory of Diu. Sanjay remained unavailable for comment.
The hair scare
The Bollywood brigade, especially those who have done hair-weaving jobs (Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor and Sunny Deol) aren't keen on shaving their heads for a role because it can complicate issues as far as growing it back is concerned. Also there is the continuity factor involved in films. Says an expert, "In a nutshell, guys with hair implants should ideally not risk shaving their hair just for a role. The scalp in their case is not conditioned for too many experiments.''

Salman Khan's 'Being Human' aims to save lives through healthcare, Salman Khan, Healthcare, MDRI
He may come across as a macho image in his films like 'Dabangg' and Television advertisements, but there is also a human side to this bollywood superstar that comes across through his 'Being human' foundation which has been striving to alleviate the suffering of underprivileged through its social initiatives.
The Being Human Foundation has partnered with Marrow Donor Registry India (MDRI) to create a world class registry of marrow donors in India for patients who have blood-related illnesses like leukemia, thalessemia, aplastic anaemia and congenital immunodeficiency states.
MDRI was set up in 2008 as an NGO at the Tata Memorial Centre with the sole purpose of creating a registry of committed, voluntary and unrelated donors for those patients requiring bone marrow transplantation and without an HLA-matched donor within their families. However, for the registry to be functional, more than one lakh donors need to be registered. People from the age group of 18-50 years are eligible for donor recruitment.
MDRI and Being Human have reached out to generation next by working with colleges to create awareness of the need for a world-class registry in India.
One of the first colleges to participate in this initiative is KJ Somaiya Institute of Engineering and IT, Sion, who as part of their annual college festival, Surge'11, conducted a marrow donation drive on their college premises along with 'Marrowthon', a 6 km run showing support for the cause.
Stressing on the need for more committed donors, MDRI spokesperson said, "We are glad KJ Somaiya has come forward. We hope that this will pave the way for more colleges and their students to come forth and register with MDRI and thus make their contribution towards saving many more lives." Surge'11 will be held from March 3 to 5, 2011.
On February 23, a class to class presentation was conducted for the in house college students who come forward to show their whole hearted support towards the cause and a whopping 335 names have already been added to the registry in a single day.
For now students are encouraged to step forward to volunteer to give someone a tomorrow - 'Just 10 ml of your blood could save a life - Be Human.'

Sallu Bhai's 'Dheela' character, Salman's character is 'dheela'
Salman Khan is currently shooting a song for Ready with choreographers - Raju Khan and Mudassar Khan in Bangkok.
What's interesting about the number is its lyrics – which says something to the tune of the character being dheela (loose). Can't wait to see what steps will match those lyrics.
The song is being shot in Bangkok with 100 dancers who've been especially flown down from Mumbai. Guess this is Khan's way of saying: make mine large.

Hrithik is the highest paid filmstar on TV
Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, who is making his television debut as a dance reality show judge, is the highest paid film star on small screen. The shooting for "Just Dance" the dance reality show on Star Plus will start next month where the 37-year-old film star will judge contestants along with choreographers Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant.
Hrithik is looking forward to a successful inning on the small screen after his two previous films 'Kites' and 'Guzaarish' bombed at the box office. "Only after biggest failures come biggest success," Hrithik had said at the launch last month.
About reports that he is being paid approximately Rs 2 crore per episode, Hrithik had said, "I thought I am paid well." But sources close to the actor claim that the Hrithik is indeed the highest paid actor on television. "He gets Rs two crore per episode. Whereas Salman Khan shot for his last TV show only during the weekends and would wrap up two episodes in a single day and take home a pay packet of Rs 2.5 crore," sources said.

Abhishek does a Salman
If all goes well, and with his mother Jaya Bachchan's permission, Abhishek Bachchan would be taking off his shirt for the first time in Dhoom 3. For this, he has met two of the top physical trainers in LA earlier this week.
Says a source, "With the help of these two renowned trainers who have worked on the physique of a number of iconic Hollywood stars Abhishek hopes to build his self-confidence (read: muscles) enough to appear bare-chested on the screen for the first time in Dhoom 3." There's just one hitch.
Abhishek's mom Jaya is strictly against her son appearing bare-chested on screen. Until Abhishek convinces her that it's fine to do so no amount of muscle-power would persuade him to take the shirtless plunge.
At the moment he's in LA with with his fingers crossed. Says a source close to Abhishek, "Ash and Abhishek have taken some time off together in LA for various reasons.
Yes, he has met two trainers. They're flying back to India on Saturday night."

Salman's highest paid actor!
He is still considered Bollywood's enfant terrible. But that doesn't hamper his price. Trade talk is that Salman Khan is the Hindi film industry's highest paid actor at this point.
Our source says, "Actors keep saying that they have stopped charging a price because they are now take home a share in the percentage of profits. The profit-sharing bit is right but actors, especially those like Salman and Akshay Kumar also charge a price and over and above it, they take home a share in the profits." Salman is reportedly charging Rs 17.5 cr for Ready and he is a partner on the project. So he will get a percentage of the profits too.
Salman who is red-hot after Dabangg has allegedly even been made an offer of Rs 30 cr as his price. The share in the profits goes without saying.

Katrina calling Aamir
Exactly a year ago when TOI asked Aamir Khan why he hadn't worked with Katrina Kaif, the actor said, "Katrina is a huge star. But no filmmaker has come forward with a proposal to cast us.''
Now the grapevine says a very established banner did suggest to Aamir that he should team up with Kat. The two even sizzled on a magazine cover a year ago where they reprised the look of the legendary screen couple Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman. Apparently the camaraderie between Aamir and Kat during the photo-shoot was great. Of course since it was just one photograph, so it was no big deal. Aamir knew that when it came to a film things were bound to be different.
The film executive who took the proposal to one of the most powerful men in the Hindi film industry says that the actor was a wee bit hesitant about working with Bollywood's most desirable woman because she was Salman Khan's girlfriend then. And Aamir, who owes allegiance to Salman over all else, wasn't comfortable romancing his best friend's girl on screen.
Our source says, "Now that Salman and Kat have split, Aamir may team up with the Bollywood diva." The same banner is very keen to get this super-hot jodi together. Let's see how quickly this happens.

Salman didn't throw me out: Kangna
TOI pins the actress down with seven prickly questions...
Charge 1:
Films in which you haven't played an edgy character, haven't clicked.
It would be wrong to say that. Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai did well. But yes, that was more of Ajay Devgn's film.
But how long could I go on playing those whacko characters? I kept getting similar roles but yearned to play other characters and I reached a pint of desperation.
I used to cry and wonder why I was not being offered roles, which could do justice to my talent. I could see that those roles were going to girls who had boyfriends and contacts at the right places. I couldn't make friends.
I was lonely Nobody was even recommending me. Instead of unwinding, I would often be researching drug-addicts or schizophrenics.
Thankfully, times have changed. Today I am in very happy space. I am playing a flirtatious girl in Rascals and Sanjay Dutt's secretary in Dhamaal 2.
Charge 2...
You said nobody was recommending you. But today, Ajay Devgn does.
(Interrupts) That's not true. In fact now, Ajay and I are thinking of not doing films together for two-three years. We are taking a break from each other professionally.
That's how Ajay also feels. We can't make our on-screen chemistry repetitive.
Charge 3...
Its' said that you use names of A-list actors to add to your brand equity.
If I could win so many awards- there are close to twenty lying in my house- without dropping names and without even working with big actors, then why would I suddenly start now? That too at a time, when I am actually doing better for myself.
I suspect sabotage. I know people who bitch about me; they are nice to my face though.
Charge 4...
Salman and you had an issue earlier.
Salman has never had a problem with me. Why doesn't anybody ask this question to Salman? It could be that people misconstrue my introvert nature.
I could never develop friends in this industry. I don't like filmi life and I don't connect to people who say nothing but, 'yeh woh picture kar rahi hai, yeh woh picture nahin kar rahi hai'. Most people are self-obsessed here and can't have a good conversation.
Charge 5...
You have had a wardrobe malfunction more than once at social gatherings. Its' said that you do it for publicity.
I have seen the pictures that were printed. It was definitely not intentional. I would do anything to be left alone.
If nobody believes that, I request the media not to fall prey to my plans. I am too smart. Don't give me publicity.
Charge 6...
You have become a part of Sanjay Dutt's house. You are more close to his wife Manyata than her best friend Amisha Patel is.
If I could be a part of my own household, I would be glad. I haven't gone home for the last three months. How can I be a part of Sanjay Dutt's house and why?
Charge 7...
You gatecrashed at Salman's party in Bangkok and were asked to leave.
I am young, successful and happening. People pay me to attend their parties. Would you close the gates to me if I wanted to attend your party? Salman, who I repeat is a friend, requested me to do a cameo in Ready. Why would I go uninvited to his party?

Salman's 'Ready' to help Zarine
When Salman Khan is in your corner, consider yourself blessed! One such lucky actress is Zarine Khan.
Despite her less than satisfying role in Anil Sharma's film, Veer, the actress has still managed to remain Salman's favourite protégée. Recently, Salman pulled some strings, convincing Anees Bazmee to bring Zarine on board, for a small appearance in Ready.
Zarine, accompanied by Dabangg producer, Arbaaz Khan, flew down to Bangkok, on Friday to shoot the cameo with Salman, in Pattaya. Bazmee confirms, "It's a small scene. We needed Arbaaz and Zarine.
Salman's equation with them made it easy for us to get them to agree to do the scene." A source tells us, "Salman felt Zarine is being left behind for no fault of hers. Salman somehow feels responsible for Zarine's career not taking off. He is trying to get her into his new projects."

Salman's tuk tuk adventures!
Trust Salman Khan to come up with some crazy ideas for his movies!
News is that for his next film, Bhushan Kumar’s ‘Ready’ produced by T-Series and Rajat Rawail, the actor recently shot some high-voltage action sequences driving a tuk-tuk in the narrow streets of Pattaya, Thailand.
Salman, known for adding that extra ‘zing’ to his films, came up with the idea of shooting an action sequence in Thailand’s famous Tuk Tuks as this was never done before in a Hindi film. Subsequently, an action scene was written and shot, showing two tuk-tuks blowing up and the actor jumping into another one and driving off.
Obviously, the producers had to buy off 3 Tuk Tuks especially for this scene since the vehicles would face considerable damage in the course of the shoot. But Bhushan Kumar & Rajat Rawail happily did so as they wish to leave no stone unturned in creating bigger and better action scenes for ‘Ready’ after the success of ‘Wanted’ and ‘Dabangg’.
Bhushan Kumar confirms, “It was Bhai’s idea to shoot with tuk-tuks which are very fast and powerful. He wanted to shoot an action sequence nobody has done before. People have shot romantic songs or scenes perhaps but such a high-voltage action sequence will be seen for the first time in ‘Ready’. People will enjoy this unique Thai action.”
An insider adds, “Salman drove the tuk-tuk expertly, although it was his first time doing so!” ‘Ready’ is slated for release on 3rd June.

Salman Khan more 'worthy' than SRK
Actor Salman Khan seems to be having the last laugh. After top league actors bask in titles such as Badshah, Shehenshah, and Khiladi, Salman, who wasn't given any such title, is suddenly described as 'Dabangg' as he rules the roost today. Extremely 'wanted' in films or then on the small screen, Salman Khan's popularity seems to have become so huge that everyone wants a part of him.
In fact, with him having successfully hosted Bigg Boss Season 4 - a reality show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty in the past, Colors has already roped him in for season 5. As if that isn't enough, Sony is keen that Salman hosts Dus Ka Dum, too.
Talks have it that Salman Khan is being offered big monies for his (hosting) services, even more than what a Shah Rukh Khan is getting for 'Zor Ka Jhatka' or what Hrithik Roshan is charging for being a judge on 'Just Dance'. We are told that Salman Khan, at this point, is leading the pack, and is being paid heavily for it!

Salman Khan issues diktat to Arbaaz Khan
Going against Salman's wishes is not an idea worth pursuing. The same lessons are being learnt by none other than Salman Khan's younger brother Arbaaz Khan.
According to sources, Salman is miffed with Arbaaz for trying to broker peace between him and SRK. The issue has reached a point where Sallu has told Arbaaz in no uncertain terms to avoid playing such a role.
In the past Arbaaz has been friendly with SRK despite the fact that SRK and Sallu's chemistry is going through its coldest phase. But, now Salman is keeping a close watch on any attempts that might end his arch rivalry. He is no mood to let go so soon.
Our sources further add, "The fact that Salman does not forgive his enemies has become one of his brand features. It is very difficult for him to go against the same since it is something that defines him. His fresh diktat to Arbaaz has to be seen in that light. Look at what he did to Vivek Oberoi. He is trying to repeat it in case of his cold bond with SRK."
While Bollywood and its brawls would not stop from taking place, but this one is the baap of all as it involves two biggest stars who happen to be arch rivals.
