Eddie Murphy is questioning whether he is the father of the unborn child that former girlfriend and ex-Spice Girl Melanie Brown is reportedly carrying. Murphy, who stars in the upcoming Dreamgirls, was asked about his relationship with Brown – and her pregnancy – during an interview on the Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard that aired Monday. "We're not together anymore," says Murphy, 45, in a clip on the show's Web site. (See the clip here.) "And I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir." Brown, 31, has not officially confirmed her pregnancy. On Monday night Murphy stepped out with his new girlfriend, Tracey Edmonds, who is a movie producer and the ex-wife of singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, at the New York premiere of DreamgirlsThe couple have been together "for about a month and a half," Edmonds told PEOPLE at the event. In August, however, Murphy and Brown took a weeklong family vacation to Hawaii with his five children and the singer's 7-year-old daughter. The couple had been spending a lot of time together since meeting at a party in June. Murphy divorced his wife of 12 years, Nicole Mitchell, in April.
