Shay Mitchell: Pretty Little Liars UpFront in NYC!

The 23-year-old actress, wearing black Christian Louboutin heels, was joined by costars Troian Bellisario and Ashley Benson plus other ABC Family stars.
There’s a new episode of Pretty Little Liars on Monday — In “Monsters In The End,” for Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Mitchell), Hanna (Benson) and Spencer (Bellisario), keeping things hidden is second nature, but having to live with those secrets can become a big burden.

Troian Bellisario: Good Day NY!

The 25-year-old actress taped a segment for Good Day New York where she chats about all things Pretty Little Liars. Check out her video!
Troian recently shared with EOnline about the surprise relationship between her and Keegan Allen (Toby) on the show: “The great thing about Toby and Spencer is that [their romance] truly came out of nowhere— our characters are so different. Keegan is one of my favorite people on set and we are just really good friends—maybe it was just seeing us hanging out on set that [the writers] started to write our characters closer.”

 

 

 

Troian Bellisario: Katniss Is Such An Incredible Character

Add in another name to the mix…Troian Bellisario!
While chatting with EOnline about Spencer’s future on Pretty Little Liars, the 25-year-old actress dished about wanting to read for the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games.
Troian shared, “I would love even to just read for Katniss because I really loved ‘The Hunger Games’ books. Katniss is such an incredible character. She is in such a creatively beautiful world and such dire circumstances, but she’s also such a strong girl that’s becoming a woman and I would love to play that.
She added, “I haven’t been read for it yet but I know that we’ve been talking to the people about at least getting me in the room. And the fans have been really supportive in my lust for that role and I just hope that they keep voicing their opinions.”

Shay Mitchell: There's A Shark In The Water

Shay Mitchell gets some direction on her swimming form in this new still from Pretty Little Liars.
In next week’s episode “Je Suis une Amie,” A crucial swim meet for the Rosewood Sharks is the setting for the girls to experience a lot of turmoil. Emily (Mitchell) and Paige (Lindsey Shaw) go for round two, as they are pitted against each other to compete for the anchor leg of the big race.
Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) calls in his favor with a guilty Hanna (Ashley Benson) as she tries to deter Aria (Lucy Hale) from asking too many questions about Ella’s (Holly Marie Combs) ticket to the museum opening. Meanwhile, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) takes on the task of tutoring a fellow student to try and get some answers.

Troian Bellisario: My Best Friends were Mary-Kate & Ashley

We just discovered a new, fun fact about Troian Bellisario — she used to be BFFs with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen!
The 25-year-old actress opened up to Seventeen mag about growing up with famous child actors, being a guys type of girl and how Shay Mitchell always look like a walking hair ad. Check it:
On being best friends with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen: “When I was five years old, my best friends were Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen because we lived across the street from each other. I just knew them as the girls across the street. And I remember the first time I was playing with them and something happened and I realized these aren’t normal kids. They’re treated differently.”
On who is most unlike their PLL character: “Shay [Mitchell], in terms of being sweet and sensitive – she’s like Emily. But Shay comes to set in the morning, it’ll be seven in the morning, she’ll come in heels, skinny jeans, the most gorgeous, glamorous top and her hair is like a Pantene Pro-V ad. Then she’ll come film her scene wearing these dirty converse and jeans as Emily – which is like what I arrived in. And I’m like ‘Who are you?’ It’s so funny to see her kick off her sneakers at the end of the day and go home in heels.”
On knowing guys better than girls: “I grew up with brothers. Girls terrified me. If a boy was mad at you, he hit you or he’d yell at you. I’m thinking about my brothers. Boys didn’t go around just hitting me. But it was easy. With girls all of a sudden she’ll tell you ‘That skirt looks ugly on you.’ And you’re like ‘Oh you’re mad at me! I have to figure out what I’ve done.’ I had one really good girl friend all through high school. It’s funny, being on a show that’s so girl heavy I’m enjoying having girl friends for the first time. It’s really cool.”

Pretty Little Liars: Much Music Gals!

Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell are all smiles as they dish out some secrets on Much Music in Toronto over the weekend.
The girls chatted about Emily’s storyline, which PLL guy they would date in real life and about the finale.
They shared, “We find out more about the night of Alison’s disappearance and get more suspects for A. The finale is supposed to be very shocking and the best episode yet. It’s very inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo.”

Troian Bellisario: Spencer Owns My Heart

Troian Bellisario was the perfect person to portray Spencer Hastings in Pretty Little Liars.

The 25-year-old actress chatted with PopEater about her character on the show, coming from a Hollywood family and much more. Check out some highlights below:

On being in love with her character Spencer: “I cannot even tell you how much I love Spencer. She’s so close to my heart, personally. We have very kindred spirits in that we’re type A superachievers. We have the same kind of drive. She’s the same place I was at one point, trapped in the expectations of the community and her parents, their ideals of what perfect is supposed to be. She’s sort of so reined in – she needs to be shaken up.”

On the fans reactions to the show: “Everyone I’ve talked to has been really sweet, telling me they love the show. It’s so awesome. Everybody’s really been positive about the show, and I’m really grateful and want people to enjoy it. But I don’t know how much I’m really into celebrating. What you have to love is the work, not the success.”

On how tough it is to be an actress coming from a Hollywood family: “I had an awareness of how tough it really is from my parents. To me, it’s never been, ‘You get to be a star!’ It’s been things like putting on a brave face when they ask you to reshoot a scene at the end of a hard day’s work. My parents were pretty supportive. I don’t know how much my dad wanted me to be an actress all my life, but he never denied me of it.”
