The 24-year-old actor, who wore Gucci on the program, opened up to the host about his new movie, Water For Elephants which opens THIS FRIDAY!!!
After the program, Rob headed outside and immediately went for the fans who were eagerly awaiting. Rob signed a mess of autographs before being escorted back to his car.

Kristen Stewart's Promise Ring Buzz

Did you hear? Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson gave co-star and sweetheart, Kristen Stewart, a ring last week! (And you thought the budget brouhaha in Washington was big news.)

While Twi-hards will be disappointed to learn that the rumored ring is not, in fact, an engagement ring - it is a rock that comes with relationship strings.

According to Hollwoodgossip.com, R-Pats threw down a whopping $17,000 for a vintage promise ring and is just "waiting for the right time to give it to her."

A source said, “The ring is rose-cut diamonds set in rose gold. It’s a very feminine piece of jewelry and very old. The diamonds aren’t huge, and it doesn’t look like an engagement ring. [He] found it through a dealer who specializes in estate jewelry, and he knew it was just perfect for Kristen.”

He’s not proposing, though. But the snitch is convinced that he would, if Kristen were on board for it.

I haven't heard much about the use of 'promise rings' these days, but it's heart-warming to know the tradition continues even with A-listers like this Tween dream couple. It's also nice to hear that rose gold is still a hot trend for all the metal mavens out there.

Rose gold, for the uninitiated, is a gold and copper alloy also known as pink gold or red gold (depending on the amount of copper in the mix).

Rose-cut diamonds were introduced as early as the 1500's and were popular until the early 1900's - so you see them a lot in vintage pieces like the one Rob apparently selected.

Everything's certainly coming up roses for Kristen Stewart these days. I'll be on the lookout for her rosy ring pics - so stay tuned!

Robert Pattinson Doesn't Dance -- At Least When Everyone Is Watching

The 24-year-old British actor chatted with the mag about how he actually likes to tick off the paparazzi. He shared, “A bunch of paparazzi were following me, and I thought the best way to deal with it was to stop my car in the middle of the street and say, ‘I’m not leaving, and I’m not going to speak to you anymore.’ They got all pissed off because they can’t just keep taking the same picture.”
And when asked about anything that he gets embarrassed about, Rob picked out one thing in particular — dancing! “I guess if you’re constantly in public, you’re not embarrassed about anything. But dancing is my Achilles’ heel—I don’t even try. It’s like, ‘Come on, dance!’ ‘No, I’m not getting up!’ I can freestyle by myself with no one watching. I’m a great dancer then.”

Robert Pattinson takes the cover of Italy’s Style and chats about his acting idol, his dream role, and girlfriend Kristen Stewart.
Here’s what the 24-year-old British actor had to share with the mag:
On what he admires in Kristen: “She’s a real person and a real actress. It was the chemistry I had with her [that] helped me to get my role in Twilight.”
On his idol Jack Nicholson: “He had a huge career and he always owned his characters.”
On his career path: “I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to be an actor. I had always thought I was going to be a writer or a musician. But then I fell in love with the adventurous aspect of cinema. And I found the discipline, the ethic, and let me tell you, the inner call, which helped me to give a proper structure to my life.”
On his love for music: “[It's] a key aspect of my life. I wish I could play a movie about Jeff Buckley. His voice, his songwriting gave me a lot.”

Robert the first appeal of Water For Elephants: “I liked the aspect of living on a train. Just that whole frontier thing. It seems to me the definition of America.”
Reese on working with Robert: “He’s an incredibly hardworking person with an incredible work ethic. He doesn’t ever complain. Not once. Which is sort of lower than the national average for actors. They’re always complaining. Especially the men!”
Robert on working with Reese: “There’s something about her. She’s just this genuinely nice person. I don’t know if she puts an effort into creating a nice aura, but her mood dissipates over the whole set. It was a completely different environment from when she wasn’t there. All the kids and the animals were just drawn to her. It made it incredibly easy to do my part—all my reaction shots are just watching her work brilliantly. She’s really cool and she’s just…never, ever annoying. God, that’s the worst description, isn’t it?
Robert on his post Twilight life: I mean, I can [do whatever I want]. But at the same time, I think people have an incredibly short shelf life, and you can never really predict what an audience wants or how to maintain a career, other than doing what you think is cool. Generally, what I think is cool is whatever everybody else hates.

On working with phenomenal leading ladies: “I like them. I like being in movies with lots of hot girls (laughs). [But] They’re all pretty different. They’re all very strong, actually. I always end up being in movies with very experienced and passionate people. They’re never just flimsy floozies.”
On his experience working on ‘Water For Elephants’: “It felt like it was kind of magical in many ways, because we were out in the desert shooting. There was nothing from the modern world around. It was a different experience for me. It wasn’t in a studio or anything. I just wanted to show I can be Jacob too. That’s the only reason I did the movie. I just looked at the name. There was an elephant, my name is Jacob — done.”
On Mackenzie Foy making money off of him: “She’s a great actress. She’s really sweet. She has to do a hard part as well, because she’s doing — I don’t want to get into special-effects stuff — but she’s playing a baby in some scenes. She’s got a lot of money out of us swearing around her. I do it by accident, and especially Kristen [Stewart] does it by accident, because she’ll apologize with a swear [word]. She’s like, ‘Oh sh–! Ugh!’ She can’t stop doing it for about 15 minutes, and [Mackenzie] just waits there [with her hand out].”

MFC finally got our hands on the second full-length trailer for Robert Pattinson’s upcoming drama, Water For Elephants.
The trailer, which debuted on Amazon.com, features new scenes of Jacob’s (Pattinson) life before the circus.
Water For Elephants, also starring Reese Witherspoon, follows the life of Jacob, now 90 (Hal Holbrook), as he recalls his life with the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.
The flick hits theaters on April 22nd.

Robert Pattinson sports an MTV jacket as he arrives at Vancouver International Airport on Monday afternoon (February 21).
The 24-year-old actor landed with costar Kristen Stewart (not pictured) who ran away from the cameras that were spotted. We don’t blame her!
Rob and Kristen will catch up with their other costars to film the rest of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I and II.
In other news, it was announced that Juliette Binoche will be joining Robert inCosmopolis. Production for the flick will start later this year.

 

 

 

 

Robert Pattinson: Another New 'Water For Elephants' Poster!

mharb has stumbled onto a new Water For Elephants poster and call us biased, but we like this one the best!
Starring as veterinary school student Jacob; the story follows Jacob as he meets and falls in love with Marlena (Reese Witherspoon), a star performer in a circus of a bygone era.
They discover beauty amidst the world of the Big Top, and come together through their compassion for a special elephant. Against all odds - including the wrath of Marlena’s charismatic but dangerous husband, August (Christopher Waltz) - Jacob and Marlena find lifelong love.
According to director Francis Lawrence, the premiere for the flick will be held in NYC on Sunday, April 17th.
