A source tells AOL Black Voices that “Raising Kanye,” from Simon and Shuster’s Pocket Books imprint, was written by Dr. Donda West in conjunction with best-selling author Karen Hunter and is due in stores this May.


Dr. West, the former chairman of Chicago State University’s English department, also worked as a teacher and attended night school to earn her doctorate. Once her son was en route to becoming a superstar, she quit her position at the university and became his manager. The book will reportedly include her experiences guiding his career.
