Silk Smitha is easier than Indira Gandhi: Vidya Balan, Vidya Balan says silk smitha is easier than Indira Gandhi

These days when ever we hear of Silk Smitha, next moment we confirm it with film 'Dirty Picture' of Vidya Balan. The name of south seductress Silk is enough to generate the feeling of lust. Apparently many feel that it would be challenging for Vidya Balan to portray the character. When you ask Vidya Balan on same question, she has something different in mind.

"Never the less film is an ode to the life of sexy siren Vijaya Lakshmi better known later as Silk Smitha and her journey to stardom followed by mysterious death. What I feel is, playing the character of Indira Gandhi is hard than Silk Smitha. People know the mannerisms of Indira Gandhi and we can't go wrong. Same applies even for Amitabh Bachchan while Silk Smitha is going to be my personal interpretation than impersonation," says Vidya Balan on taking the sex symbol of South cinema.

Vidya's Hot Pants For The Dirty Picture

Vidya Balan will strut her stuff in hot pants in Silk Smitha's biopic The Dirty Picture.

Jittery about her bold outing, Vidya confesses that her nerves are getting the better of her as the rehearsals start. Presently working with the costume designer Niharika Khan, the Filmfare winner will be seen wearing lots of tight clothes, the shorter the better.

Turning the conservative Vidya we know into the bold Smitha is sure going to be a task. Director Milan Luthria, however, thinks that the talented actress is in safe hands.

Naseeruddin Shah to play a character based on Rajinikanth in The Dirty Picture

One film that has been much talked about ever since its announcement is Ekta Kapoor's The Dirty Picture directed by Milan Luthria. The film, which is based on South siren Silk Smitha's life, has Vidya Balan essaying the lead role. Now the latest is that the makers have roped in none other than veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah to play an important role in The Dirty Picture.

Naseer saab's character is apparently based on South superstar Rajinikanth. Naseer would be seen wearing flamboyant clothes like how Rajini usually wears and will also be sporting different types of wigs. Surprisingly Naseer has not seen a single Rajinikanth film and plans to catch up on some of his hit films to get the nuances of the character bang on.

Apparently Vidya's character in the film idolises the character played by Naseer saab. This would be the second time Vidya and Naseer would be sharing screen space after the much acclaimed Ishqiya.

Besides Vidya and Naseer saab, there's strong buzz that The Dirty Picture also stars Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor in important roles.
