Filipino netizens are now a 'like' away from getting updates from the Philippine National Hero Jose Rizal.


Jose Rizal now has a fan page in the most popular social networking site in the country, Facebook.

Jose Rizal's descendants said to have created the Facebook page to make their "lolo" more accessible to the youth of today.

"Likers" can also monitor the countdown to the 150th Birthday of the national hero which will be observed nationwide on June 19, 2011.

Fake PM, Sonia profiles flood Twitter, Facebook

"JPC might include Isro and Adarsh Scams. Congress has nothing to hide because what's hidden will never be found." This is what a tweet by " Sonia Gandhi " says. But hold your breath, this is fake. There are several such postings one can find from sham accounts of politicians and top celebrities on popular social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

And it seems these sites have emerged as a nuisance for some top leaders, especially the Congress president and prime minister Manmohan Singh . There are a number of accounts in both Twitter and Facebook in the name of Sonia and the prime minister whose tweets from their fake accounts are based on alleged corruption in 2G spectrum allocation, S-band deal, Commonwealth Games and Adarsh Society.

A posting on one of Sonia's fake twitter accounts says, "After careful evaluation of outcome, Congress high council has agreed for JPC. We have nothing to hide." Another tweet from her says, "Most countries make people poor through taxes. We make people like Kalmadi rich. That's what makes us so wonderful."

A tweet from an account named after prime minister Singh says, "Madam ji, Left can never be right ji. Purulia can never be Rae Barreily ji."

Facebook will end on March 15, 2011?!

A "news" website published yesterday, January 8, 2011, an article saying that the most popular social networking website in the world, Facebook is about to end its service this March 15th. According to the article, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg announced its shut down on that day since it has gotten out of control.

“Facebook has gotten out of control and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life. I need to put an end to all the madness.”

The article also quoted a said interview of Avrat Humarthi, Facebooks' Vice President of Technical Affairs:

“After March 15th the whole website shuts down. So if you ever want to see your pictures again, I recommend you take them off the internet. You won’t be able to get them back once Facebook goes out of business.”

It also added a said private telephone interview of Zuckerberg:

“I personally don’t think it’s a big deal. And to be honest, I think it’s for the better. Without Facebook, people will have to go outside and make real friends. That’s always a good thing.”

Hahaha! Who would believe that? And who would believe a site which broke the news that Megan Fox is a Man, that Spaceships are to attack Earth on 2011, and Miley Cyrus to do Playboy. Lol.

Yeah, the site is a hoax site. They create non-existing news. :D
