Saoirse Ronan: The Brothers Grimm Snow White?

Saoirse Ronan is in talks to star opposite Julia Roberts in The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, Deadline reports.
Much different from Snow White and the Huntsman (possibly starring Kristen Stewart), this film is more of a comedy and adventure. After her evil stepmother kills her father and destroys the kingdom, Snow White bands together with a gang of seven quarrelsome dwarfs to reclaim what is rightly hers.
Armie Hammer was just announced as the Prince.

Saoirse Ronan: Lucky Lady with Directors

Saoirse Ronanis going ‘way back’ with Flaunt magazine.
The 17-year-old actress explains of her character, “Irena is really a child essentially and all the characters are very decent men, and so when she comes along she introduces this new energy and light.”
Saoirse adds, “I’ve been so, so lucky with my directors…I remember one day we were in the forest and I was telling him [director Peter Weir] how I might like to write and direct. I asked him, ‘How did you actually get into it? Did you go and study somewhere?’ He said, ‘I just picked up a camcorder and started shooting.’”
Saoirse is currently in New Zealand shooting The Hobbit.

 

 

Saoirse Ronan Lands 'The Hobbit' Role

Saoirse Ronan is headed back to work with Peter Jackson — in The Hobbit!

According to casting director Ros Hubbard, the 17-year-old Irish actress does indeed have a role in the upcoming film.

Saoirse will reportedly play Itaril, a Sylvan Elf who is a part of the Woodland Kings Guard.

The Hobbit follows Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and his journey to the Lonely Mountain accompanied by a group of dwarves to reclaim a treasure taken from them by the dragon Smaug. The movie is set to open December 2012.
