New York Fashion Week Comes To An End For Celebs

Its the end of New York Fashion Week and celebrities pull all the stops to look good... Love Blake Lively in her Marchesa dress, doesn't she have the best legs!!! We're seeing quite a few fur coats must've been pretty chilly...

New York Fashion Week Fall 2011- Marchesa

We know what everyone will be wearing for this year 2011 Oscar Awards, the red carpet will be filled with Marchesa gowns.
At New York fashion week designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig dazzled us all with their Victorian inspired dresses.

Bright red and lilac shades were a popular choice for the English designers. Lace and layers structured dresses, mid length designs instead of long fish tailed dresses. A perfect collection which I'm sure celebrities will make sure they have their hands on.

New York Fashion Week Fall 2011- Proenza Schouler

Proenza Schouler still keeping up with their reputation of prints and cool designs. At New York Fashion Week designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez shifted from their usual tie dye prints and was inspired by textiles and tribal prints... Long sleeved dresses and mid length tassel skirts seems to be a hit for next Fall. I see some more mustard colour, time to hit the shops...

Oscar, Opulence and Oodles of Jewelry

Oscar de la Renta, Fall 2011 RTW
I've been hearing a lot of jewelry trend talk throughout New York Fashion Week about a return to 'opulence' for Fall 2011, but I had yet to see it with my own eyes.

Until the Oscar de la Renta show.

FINALLY! Jewelry that isn't afraid of its own shadow.

Long, drop earrings in gemstone hues mixed with shoulder dusters styles that could head straight to the red carpet.

Mr. de la Renta loves himself a brooch, and the season's stand-out silhouette - bows - brought the sentiment to life beautifully for this collection.

And then there's the classic beaded necklace for a little ring around the collar glam.

But Oscar de la Renta isn't the only designer throwing caution and carats to the wind this season. Anna Sui is always game for some fun finger flavor.

And Proenza Shouler and Isaac Mizrahi both chose sculptural statment necklaces in black and white to accessorize their lines.

I think I'm having a Dorothy moment. The ho-hum days of prairie-wear and pearl strands from earlier shows have just transformed into a technicolor treasure chest of jewels that would make even Glinda blush.

Sure, there's no place like home. But there are no ruby slippers there either.

New York Fashion Week Fall 2011- Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger went for a more bohemian mixed with mafia designs for Fall 2011. Wide length pants, hats and maxi loose dresses was on his mind. Not sure whether to embrace my hippie side or prepare my gangs. Do love the suits!!!
