Ball Gowns are another Trend for the 68th Annual Golden Globes (which I predicted thank you very much!). Here, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones chose a hunter green strapless ball gown from Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2011 Collection (yes, kids, we're in Pre-Fall now!). It features folding and architectural-inspired draping. She looks a tad bit "The Mask of Zorro", but I still think she looks glamorous and the definition of a Hollywood Actress.|

62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards: Who Wore What? Kyra Sedgwick in Monique Lhuillier
Actress Kyra Sedgwick wears a simple Cabernet red/maroon strapless A-line shaped gown from FIDM-grad--and LA based designer Monique Lhuillier, from her Fall 2010 Collection shown in New York. It's simple, maybe too simple for me. The abstract clutch is a great balance to the simplicity of her gown. It's a "safe" choice for her but a HUGE improvement from last year.

New York Fashion Week: Day 1 (Rachel Roy, Monique Lhuillier)
Very strong collection with beautiful cut pieces and a lovely muted color palette. I really like the sheer fabrics and the corset details. There were also some misses in this collection like the heavy looking very shiny silk dresses.
Beautifully detailed gowns, ballet inspired dresses and sheer fabrics - very unexpected from Monique Lhuillier. I always love feminine and romantic designs so this collection was very much to my liking. The detailing is wonderful and I love the shredded sheer shirts and tights worn underneath, this adds an edge and very subtle tough-ness to the otherwise so delicate look.
