AnnaSophia Robb: Bethany Hamilton Is A Great Teacher!

AnnaSophia Robb looks like she was taken back to the 1960s in this new shot from Foam Magazine.
The 17-year-old actress opened up to the mag about her ‘teacher’ and good friend, Bethany Hamilton — whom she portrays in the upcoming Soul Surfer.
AnnaSophia shared, “She’s said to me, ‘I’m not a good teacher,’ but she really is! She’ll mess around with me, and she always pushes me to go for a bigger wave and chastises me if I don’t. I’ve learned so much from her, which I’ll keep with me for the rest of my life. I’ll always know how to catch a wave and keep from getting pounded.”

Soul Surfer: Behind The Scenes with Bethany Hamilton!

Bethany Hamilton takes time out on the set of Soul Surfer to dish out her opinion on the upcoming flick.
The 21-year-old pro surfer shared in the video about AnnaSophia Robb portraying her in the film, “I’m stoked to have her play me. I never thought I would actually find someone to play me that would do it justice. I had such high expectations. I didn’t know who could fill this role and she did an amazing job. She’s the girl for me, I guess (laughs).”
“Having my life being made into an hour and a half movie is amazing. I never would thought a movie would be made about me, but it’s happening and it’s real,” Bethany added.

AnnaSophia Robb and Bethany Hamilton are now sharing more than just their love of surfing.
The girls will both receive Maverick Awards during the Cinequest Film Festival on March 12th. Bethany with receive the special Life of a Maverick Award and AnnaSophiawill be honored with Cinequest’s Emerging Maverick Award.
Soul Surfer tells the true, inspirational story of Bethany Hamilton. Bethany (played by Robb) fought to return to the ocean and surfing after losing an arm in a shark attack at the young age of thirteen.
The film will screen at the Cinequest Film Festival on March 12th @ 7:15PM at the California
